Your old car could save you up to $4,500 on a new vehicle, thanks to the U.S. Government’s trade-in program.
Oak Lawn Toyota is the place to shop, if you want to cash in on the Cash for Clunkers program. That’s because you have so many different cars, hybrids, trucks, and SUVs to choose from! We’re talking Avalon, Camry, Corolla, FJ Cruiser, Highlander, Matrix, Prius, Solara, Sienna, RAV4, Tacoma, Tundra, Venza, Yaris and 4Runner. Plus, Scion’s full line is eligible: the tC, xB, and xD.
Here’s how the program works: you don’t need a voucher, all you have to do is trade in your old car for a newer, more fuel-efficient one, and Oak Lawn Toyota will apply a credit to the purchase of your new vehicle. Your vehicle must be less than 25 years old on the trade-in date. Only purchase or lease of new vehicles qualifies. Generally, trade-in vehicles must get 18 or less MPG (some very large pick-up trucks and cargo vans have different requirements).
For more information, call 708-423-5200 and one of our Sales Associates will be happy to explain how much money you could receive for your trade-in!

Bikini girl strikes again.
For the second day in a row, the Papa Luigis girl donned a string bikini top and board shorts. And for the second day in a row, she nearly sold out of pizza. Go figure.

A local food delivery service makes record sales thanks to a genius marketing ploy.
Papa Luigis, one of Oak Lawn Toyota’s food service vendors, broke their lunchtime sales records this afternoon thanks to their new bikini-clad saleswoman. Let’s just say that people who NEVER buy lunch from this vendor made the trek outside to check out the “goods” on the truck. >Who would have thought that a simple string-bikini could do so much to boost sales? Your move, M Softee. I’m thinking a Speedo.

Patience a Prerequisite for Prius Buyers

Want to get your hands on the hottest car on the market right now? You’re not alone!
It’s no secret that the 2010 Toyota Prius is one of the most buzz-worthy cars out there. So is it any surprise that if you want one you’ll have to (a) get on a wait list for the popular hybrid and (b) pay list price? Granted, if for some reason a 2010 Prius arrives at the dealership, and if you’re not picky about the color or about which package it is (II, III, IV or V), and if you’re a very lucky person, then you can drive off the lot with the new “it” car today. However, if you want a certain model, then be prepared to get on a wait list for a few months. Hey, it could be worse… you could live in and have to wait 6 months for one.
The next question you’ll probably want to ask is, is it worth the wait? In my opinion, it totally is. I mean, this is the must-have car on the market right now. It’s way better than any other hybrid out there. Toyota has really stepped it up a notch with the third generation Prius. Just compare it with its “closest” competitor, its look-alike, the Honda Insight. The 2010 Prius has more horsepower (134 compared to the Insight’s 98), it has better fuel economy on the city/hwy/combined (51/48/50 compared to the insight’s 40/43/41), plus it offers EV, Eco and Power modes, whereas Insight only has an Eco mode. The Prius is also bigger than the insight—with a larger interior and more cargo room, plus the Prius has more features available like an integrated back-up camera, power moonroof with solar panels, park assist, lane keep assist and MUCH, much more!
I seriously could go on and on about this amazing car, but you really have to see it for yourself. Think about it, you could be the envy of all your friends—someone who’s tech-savvy and who cares about the environment. And let’s be honest, the fact that the car gets 50 miles per gallon is pretty awesome— just for fun, click on the gas calculator I posted last week and figure out how much money you could be saving in gas.
I’ll post a video with a Prius walk-around from one of our Prius specialists at Oak Lawn Toyota soon. That way you can check it out for yourself!

Could Prius be America’s Next Top Model?

A recent article claims Toyota is hoping to make the hybrid America’s best-selling car.

There’s no doubt that the 3rd generation Toyota Prius is a hit, but could it one day be as popular as the Camry in America? According to the vehicle’s designers, that’s exactly what they’re pushing for. And they think they can achieve that goal, judging from sales in Japan where the Prius was the country’s best-selling car in May.
Blaine Harden wrote in the Washington Post about the demand for the Prius in Japan:
Overtime has been brought back at the two plants that assemble the car. Workers have been transferred in from factories around the country.
Production has grown to 50,000 cars a month, but customers in Japan must wait three to four months to drive home a new Prius.
In the U.S., the Prius is seen as a car for people who care about the environment, for those who want to reduce their carbon footprint. But according to this article, Toyota wants to expand the Prius fan base to the masses.
“We are not forsaking the people who want to make an environmental statement,” said Paul Nolasco, a Toyota spokesman who helped lead the tour in and around Toyota City. “But the objective of the Prius is to get the family to the mall, not to see how far you can go on so many drops of gas.”
Japanese car buyers may have to wait three to four months for their Priuses, but here in America, that’s not the case. In fact, Oak Lawn Toyota has some 2010 Prius models in stock, with more on the way. Of course, if you’d like to order the perfect Prius for you, you’ll have to wait a few months. Toyota is offering a $2,000 rebate on the 2009 Camry Hybrid

Toyota just announced this morning that they’re extending the June specials to include $2,000 customer cash on the 2009 Camry Hybrid. In lieu of the rebate, customers can opt to take advantage of special financing: 1.9% for 26 months, 2.9% for 48 months, or 3.9% for 60 months.
With gas prices in Chicagoland hovering around the three-dollar mark, there’s never been a better time to consider going green. With 33/34 miles per gallon, the Camry Hybrid is sure to save you trips to the pump.

Toyota is offering 0% financing for many of its models this month.

Although the catchy (some would say annoying) “Saved by Zero” commercials are no longer on the air, Toyota still currently has 0% financing available on many of its models for those who qualify. And that’s good news for people looking to buy!
Take the 2009 Camry, ’09 Matrix, and ’09 RAV4, for instance. Customers can get 0% financing on those vehicles for 36 months. The 2009 Corolla and ’09 Tundra have 0% financing available for 36 and 48 months. And if you’re looking for a really great deal, look no further than the 2009 Yaris and the ’09 Prius. Customers can take advantage of 0% financing for 36, 48, or 60 months!
Remember, these incentives are only good for the month of June. So, stop by Oak Lawn Toyota today to explore your options!
