On top of Oak Lawn Toyota's business efforts, Dealer Principal, Ronnie Colosimo, was featured in the national publication of Toyota Today with an article displaying his loyalty to the community and local charities. Twenty-eight years ago, about the time he aquired Oak Lawn Toyota, Colosimo became a "founding father" of Restoration Ministries. What began as a vision by his pastor to help drug addicts turn their lives around, he says, has "become a beacon of hope in a community filled with poverty, violence, drugs and gangs." The organization now operates 28 programs in Harvey, Illinois, including residential recovery programs and job training for men and women battling addiction, two thrift stores, a food pantry, and after-school programs that offer food, recreation and tutoring to keep children and teens off the streets and out of gangs. Colosimo says, "I believe that giving back to the community is what it's all about." And he teaches his employees these valuable lessons every day, and in turn, our customers feel the value of that comfort in their purchasing process.
