Rubber Floor Mats:

  • Vacuum
  • Rubber floor mat cleaner
  • A stiff bristle brush
  • A hose
  • A bucket of water
  • Microfiber towel
  • A Spot to hang your mats

Carpet Floor Mats:

  • Vacuum
  • Carpet floor mat cleaner
  • A brush
  • A hose or bucket of water
  • A wet vac (if available_
  • A place to hang your mats

How to Clean Rubber Floor Mats

Here is how to clean rubber floor mats and keep your mats clean in between your off-roading adventures, or dry from wet weather conditions:

  1. Remove rubber mats from your vehicle
  2. Shake out the rubber mats
  3. Vacuum mats to remove dirt and debris
  4. Rinse mats with clean water
  5. Apply a rubber mat cleanser 
  6. Gently scrub with a stiff brush
  7. Rinse the mats clean
  8. Hang to dry or hand dry with a microfiber towel.
  9. Make sure the rubber mats are dry before adding them back into your car

How to Clean Carpet Floor Mats

  3. Whack and shake the mats with a broom or against a hard service
  4. Use a carpet floor mat cleaner and follow directions carefully. 
  5. Scrub the mats to remove stains
  6. Rinse thoroughly
  7. Use a wet vac (if applicable) to vacuum the floor mats again to remove leftover dirt and to cut down on drying time.
  8. Hang mats to dry
  9. Do not put the mats back into your vehicle until they are completely dry
