How to Turn off the Maintenance Light on a Toyota Camry

To avoid frustrated or distracted driving around Countryside, there’s an easy fix to reset the maintenance light on your Toyota Camry. Sometimes, even after the required service has been completed, the maintenance light may still be on. The steps to turn off the maintenance light on your Toyota Camry are:

  1. Put your key in the ignition and turn it to position one (the first setting before starting the car engine).
  2. Quickly, push and hold the odometer button your dashboard, then turn your key to position two.
  3. Continue to hold the odometer button for 10 seconds. If done correctly, the maintenance light should flash and you may hear a beeping. That should turn off the maintenance light on your Toyota Camry.
  4. Once the maintenance light is off, release the odometer button, and turn the key to start the car. The light should remain off after you start your car. If it’s still on, repeat the steps once or twice more to reset the maintenance light on the Toyota Camry.
