Oak Lawn Toyota Feeds Healthcare Workers
Oak Lawn Toyota Feeds Healthcare Workers at Advocate Christ Medical Center
On May 8, 2020, Christina Colosimo Wonais of Oak Lawn Toyota joined Eric Anthony of Palermo’s 95th to bring lunch to healthcare workers at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
How It Came Together
Here at Oak Lawn Toyota, we are enormous fans of Palermo’s 95th. So when it came time to bring lunch to Advocate Christ, Christina knew who to call. In short, this wasn’t their first rodeo! Palermo’s 95th has made over 45 meals to feed staff at Advocate Christ Medical Center during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Manager Eric Anthony and kitchen staff prepared a delicious lunch featuring individual slices of their notoriously tasty pizza, plus a hearty salad, and a caffeine pick-me-up of soda, feeding a total of fifty healthcare workers on two COVID units.
After packing up my RAV4 TRD Off-Road, we made our way to Advocate Christ Medical Center to deliver lunch. Kim O’Connor, Operations and Special Projects, Nursing at Advocate Christ Medical Center, and other staff members greeted us outside. Finally, we transferred catering boxes onto carts and snapped a few pictures to document the moment. Lunch was served!
Thank you, healthcare workers, medical staff, social workers, cleaning crews, food service workers, security, and all other staff members who are risking their lives to serve the Oak Lawn Community at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
Further, we offer our heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Palermo’s 95th, including the Calderone family and Eric Anthony–you all are the best!
